Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids, a nationwide chain of kid’s haircut providers, is now open at 804 Muddy Branch Rd in the Muddy Branch shopping center in Gaithersburg.
It is located in between First Watch and Lum Thai.

The hours for this weekend are Saturday: 9am-6pm and Sunday: 11am-5pm
Per the Sharkey’s website:
”Children can sit in a Dodge Police Cruiser, Barbie Jeep, Frozen Jeep, Lightning McQueen Race Car, Buzz Light Year, Hummer, Fire Engine, #8 Dale Earnhardt NASCAR Race Car, and/or Mini Cooper while watching their favorite cartoons or Netflix!
Older kids will love the chance to play XBox One or PS4 on 40″ screens while getting their haircut! Or just watch their favorite sporting events or music concerts through Satellite TV!
At Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids, your birthday girl and her friends will have an extra special “Glamour” Day! Parties will take place in our special “Glamour/Tween Lounge”… where your birthday girl and her friends will be treated like a star. Each girl will be pampered with a pretty hairstyle, make-up application, and mini-cure.”
Lum Thai, a new restaurant is coming to the space formerly occupied by Roggenart and Canela Bakery in Muddy Branch Square in Gaithersburg (806 Muddy Branch Road). We don’t have much information on the restaurant at the moment, but know that the location it will be in is fairly small, so it’s likely the restaurant focuses more on carry-out than dining in, unless the dining area is expanded.
Royal Tandoor recently opened a few doors down in the shopping center, taking over the location that was formerly home to Riverside Hot Pot.
