Montgomery Parks Launches Selfie Stands at Scenic Locations throughout the County

Per Montgomery Parks:

Montgomery Parks invites park visitors to take a photo at one of its new selfie stands at 13 locations throughout the park system. The wooden stands include ledges (at two heights for accessibility purposes) that visitors can place their phones on to take photographs of themselves, or a group.

Locations were chosen for their scenic views and to highlight the diversity in landscapes across the park system. The picturesque spots include the wide-open meadow at Little Bennett Regional Park, the beautiful river view at Dickerson Conservation Park and the charming bridge at Tilden Woods Stream Valley Park.  Burnt Mills West Special Park includes four separate stands, providing visitors an opportunity to enjoy their own selfie hike.

“While there is no shortage of beautiful scenery throughout our 424 parks, we decided to highlight some particularly breathtaking spots. We hope visitors will enjoy exploring these areas and we wanted to make it easier for them to capture the perfect selfie to remember their experience, and to share with friends,” said Kirsten Hein, Parks Activation Manager, Montgomery Parks.

Selfie Stands are located at the following parks. To find the exact location of a Selfie Stand within a specific park, visit the interactive map:
