Dawson’s Market will be distributing 500 meals to Rockville families in need on Tuesday May 5th starting at 10am.

Each meal will include a Vegetable, Pasta, Sauce, Chicken or Pork Sausage, Cookies and ½ gallon of Milk. Meals are free of charge to Dawson’s customers and community members who have been unemployed or face economic hardship due to COVID-19. The meals serve two adults and two children.

“I can’t imagine how everyone is surviving with no paycheck coming in. We want to support the community that has stood behind Dawson’s since our reopening” said Bart Yablonsky, owner of Dawson’s Market.

Dawson’s wants to thank Four Seasons Produce, United Natural Foods, Rao’s Pasta Sauce, Whisked!, Happy Snacks, Acme Paper, and Good Molly’s for supporting this donation to the community.

Meals will be distributed curbside, with no contact. Recipients must remain in their car. They will be directed to pull up to a tented station where Dawson’s staff will place the meal in their trunk. Due to social distancing requirements there can be no walk-ups. Everyone must be in a vehicle. Dawson’s will provide one meal per vehicle.
