The North Face store at Bethesda Row will be closing permanently this Monday, January 17th, 2022, according to a recording when you call the store.

The 5,000 square-foot-store opened at 4848 Bethesda Avenue on Bethesda Row back in 2011 and is the only freestanding North Face store in Montgomery County. The closest location can be found in Tyson’s and a representative at the store told us there are no plans for that location to close. There are also nearby locations at the Hagerstown Outlets, Annapolis Mall, and Towson Town Center.

The North Face produces outdoor clothing, footwear, and related equipment. Founded in 1968 to supply climbers, the company’s logo draws inspiration from Half Dome, in Yosemite National Park. By the late 1990s, the label had expanded beyond outdoor enthusiasts by focusing on street couture and since the 2000s it is regarded as a streetwear style symbol label.
