Antonio Matarazzo And Chef Matteo Venini Will Bring Neo-Neapolitan Pizzas And Southern Italian Street Food To The New Capital One Center

Today, Washington, D.C.-based restaurateur Antonio Matarazzo and Chef Matteo Venini announce a fourth location of Stellina Pizzeria to open in Tysons, Virginia this fall at 1610 Capital One Drive at the newly developed Capital One Center. The 4,100-square-foot-space will include an Italian café serving coffee and pastries adjacent to the expected pizzeria dining room and bar, as well a commissary kitchen and an expansive open-air patio.

“We anticipate 2022 to be a year of growth for Stellina”, says Matarazzo about the expansion. “The Capital One Center is a natural fit for our second Virginia location, with its close proximity to shoppers, office workers, and local neighbors, and we’re excited to be joining so many other homegrown DMV restaurants in the space.”

With a third location of Stellina Pizzeria set to open in Mt. Vernon D.C. this spring at 508 K Street NW, the Tysons location will be the fourth location for Matarazzo and Venini. Similar to the Union Market and Shirlington location menus, Chef Venini will craft a menu of Neo-Neapolitan pizzas, a signature style that upends purist pizza traditions with creative toppings and a unique approach to dough, as well as street food inspired by the southern coast of Italy, sandwiches served on pizza dough, handmade pastas, and salads. At the bar, the beverage program will focus on Italian cocktails, wines, and beers.

The new storefront will also feature a coffee counter serving Filicori Zecchini Italian coffee in addition to house-made Italian pastries like cannoli, millefoglie, and tiramisu. A glass-enclosed commissary kitchen will be onsite to service all existing Stellina locations with extensive offerings of pantry and frozen goods including homemade pastas, sauces, pizzas and dough, and toppings.  Many of these items have become staples to Stellina customers during the pandemic through the custom vending machine and monthly subscription packages allowing them to create Stellina’s signature dishes at home.
