Eerkin’s Uyghur Cuisine is opening in Rockville tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/12).
Uyghur cuisine reflects the cooking styles of many ethnic groups of the Xinjiang region, and refers particularly to central Asian food. Signature dishes include roasted mutton, kebabs, roasted fish, noodles, chicken and rice.
The restaurant also offers Turkish cuisine and the menu is predominantly halal.
Eerkin’s has current locations in Fairfax and D.C. The Rockville location will be at 1701 Rockville Pike in the old Rice N Rolls spot that closed back in May.
They’ll be offering a 5% discount from for the first three days the restaurant will be open.
