MCPS Holding Shark Tank-Like Event: MCPS Business Pitch Challenge

This year’s “MCPS Business Pitch Challenge” is scheduled for March 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will be aired via MCPS Homepage, MCPS TV, and MCPS YouTube Live. This competition is open to high school students in the Business Management and Finance Program of Study, but all are encouraged to tune in and watch the innovative and creative skills of these students. It’s a Shark-Tank like event, where students will present their business ideas for a solution to an existing problem, improvement of an existing product, or create a need for a product/service. This year’s team of competitors are from the following nine high schools will be competing:

Representatives from the MCPS Business, Management and Finance Program Advisory Committee will be present and serve as judges, mentors, or supporters. Established entrepreneurs will bring greetings and words of inspiration and encouragement to our student entrepreneurs. Chick-fil-A is the primary sponsor of the MCPS Business Pitch Challenge and will provide cash prizes for the three winning teams for a maximum of $1,000. The Co-Sponsor, Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, will provide the medallion for our students and coaches as well as a trophy for the winning school.
