Brookside Gardens Makes Yelp’s “Top 25 Gardens in North America” List
Yelp recently released an official blog post that included the “Top 25 Gardens in North America.” While most of us are familiar with Brookside Gardens, the 50-acre public display garden that is located within Wheaton Regional Park is now getting a lot more attention.
”Seems that our hidden gem isn’t so hidden” tweeted Councilmember Evan Glass, referencing the inclusion of Brookside Gardens in Yelp’s blog post.
Included in the gardens are several distinct areas: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk.
The Formal Gardens areas include a Perennial Garden, Yew Garden, the Maple Terrace, and Fragrance Garden. Brookside Gardens also feature two conservatories for year-round enjoyment.
Admission to the gardens is free and various temporary exhibits can be found throughout the year.
