Montgomery Parks is inviting the community to come together this weekend for a free, inclusive event celebrating Autism Acceptance Month at Wheaton Regional Park. “Shine Brighter Together” will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 11am to 2pm at 2000 Shorefield Road in Wheaton. The family-friendly event is designed to bring together individuals of all abilities for an afternoon of sensory-friendly activities, performances, and hands-on experiences.

The Butterfly Experience is back at Brookside Gardens, offering visitors a chance to step inside a vibrant, living exhibit filled with hundreds of butterflies from around the world. The seasonal attraction opened Wednesday, April 1 and will run through Monday, September 7, 2026. A video of the experience can be seen below.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that his Consumer Protection Division, in coordination with the Federal Trade Commission, has reached a settlement of civil charges against multiple Lindsay Automotive Group entities, including Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, over allegations that consumers were misled into paying more than advertised prices for vehicles.

“Coming soon” signage is now up at Westfield Wheaton, where Round1 Bowling & Arcade is preparing to open a massive 49,000-square-foot entertainment complex, bringing one of the country’s fastest-growing arcade and bowling concepts to Montgomery County. Organizers have announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Taste of Wheaton: Maryland’s Culinary & Culture Festival, which will take place on Sunday, June 7 at Marian Fryer Town Plaza.
