Update on Germantown Apartment Fire
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue report that yesterday’s fire at the Riverstone apartment at 13109 Millhaven Pl has left around two dozen residents displaced. The fire began Tuesday evening after lighting struck the roof of the building. Over 85 fire fighters responded to the scene.
Chief spokesperson for MCFR Pete Piringer says that the damage to the building is around $2.5 million ($2M structure & $500K to contents). No serious injuries were reported and residents of the apartment all self evacuated after hearing fire alarms.
