Child Freed From Swing by MCFRS in Gaithersburg
Over the weekend Montgomery County Fire and Rescue help free a seven year old that was entangled in the swings at the Strawberry Knoll Elementary School playground. The child was evaluated for minor injuries.
Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer tweeted some playground safety tips:
.@mcfrs #SafetyTipMonday: Playground Safety – Dress appropriately. Remove necklaces, lanyards or clothing w/ drawstrings. These can get caught on equipment & pose a strangulation hazard. Even helmets can be dangerous on playgrounds, so save those for bikes https://t.co/wyuTg0oDmJ https://t.co/hhd5RrCfEP pic.twitter.com/Jmp36c8GZy
