La Casita Locations Closed Today in Support of ‘Day Without Immigrants’

La Casita, which has locations in Gaithersburg, Germantown, Silver Spring, and DC, has closed all of their locations today in support of the nationwide Day Without Immigrants.

“As a company La Casita Pupuseria supports immigration reform and we have chosen to close tomorrow, all locations, on February 14th in support of the Day Without Immigrants movement so that our team may also participate as they choose.

The first Day Without Immigrants took place on February 16, 2017 to protest President Trump’s plans to build a border wall and the proposed deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants.

The owners of La Casita, recently announced their plans to open Luchador Bar & Eats, Centrado Cafe, and Restaurant 198 in Burtonsville in the for Chapala and Seibel’s locations.
