Bozzuto and The Chevy Chase Land Company announced that restaurant ‘Elena James’ will be joining the Chevy Chase Lake neighborhood by the end of 2023. Additionally, a to-be-announced grocer will anchor the site upon opening in fall 2022.

From the founders of DC’s beloved New American restaurant Nina May, Colin McClimans and Danilo Simic, Elena James will be a new, all-day concept serving dishes with seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 5,000-square-foot space is aiming to open in spring 2023.
“It has always been a dream of mine to open a restaurant in the neighborhood I was born and raised in,” said Chef/Owner Colin McClimans, chef and co-owner of Nina May and Elena James. “In every community, restaurants are vital gathering places for neighbors to come together and break bread. We hope to redefine what a neighborhood restaurant can be and are excited to support this community as it continues to develop and grow.”
Bozzuto and The Chevy Chase Land Company have also announced Baltimore-base ice cream shop The Charmery and MoCo’s fifth Playa Bowls location for the Chevy Chase Lake neighborhood.
