‘Acoustics and Ales’ Outdoor Happy Hour Series Continues This Friday and Into May

Cool down with a cold one at Montgomery Parks’ Acoustic and Ales outdoor happy hour series! Enjoy  a night of live music, locally crafted beer, and food.

Adults and children welcome to Montgomery Parks’ ‘Acoustics and Ales’ Outdoor Happy Hour Series. Beer, food, and non alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Registration is not required. Parking availability may vary based on location, so please use the links provided to the right of the page to map out your arrival! Parks are accessible by public transportation. Please see below for additional information.

Event Dates, Times, and Locations: 

 

General Guidelines: 

  1. Alcohol vendors reserve the right to check identification of all guests purchasing alcohol. Anyone found to be underage and consuming alcohol will be removed from the event immediately. 
  2. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. 
  3. Dogs are welcome at each event but must be kept on leashes and picked up after. All dog rules must be followed for the entirety of the event.
  4. This event is free and registration is not required.  
  5. This event is stroller and wheelchair accessible.

  • Elm Street Urban Park:
    • Red Line Metro to Bethesda, then walk south for 3 blocks on Wisconsin Avenue, turning left onto Elm Street.  
    • Bus #34to Wisconsin Ave and Elm Street. Stop ID: 27378 
    • Bus #34to Wisconsin Ave and Miller Ave. Stop ID: 27388 
    • Paid parking available on Willow Lane. 
  • Germantown Town Center Urban Park:
    • Bus #98 to Rexmore Drive and Pinnacle Drive. Stop ID: 25288 
    • Bus #97 to Middlebrooke Road and Germantown Commons SC. Stop ID: 24098 
    • Free street parking available on Locbury Drive.
  • Fairview Road Urban Park:
    • Bus # Q1, Q2, Q4, Y2, Y7, and Y8 to Georgia Avenue & Spring Street. Stop ID: 2000214
    • Bus # Q1, Q2, Q4, Y2, Y7, and Y8 to Georgia Avenue & Spring Street. Stop ID: 2000219
    • Bus # 28 to Fenton Street & Cameron Street. Stop ID: 28256. Exit the bus and walk Northwest on Fenton Street towards Cameron Street. Turn right at the 1st cross street onto Cameron Street. In 0.1 miles, turn left onto Spring Street. The park will be on the right side of the street.
    • Bus # 8, 9, 13, 14, 21, 22, Z2, Z6, Z8 to Colesville Road & North Noyes Drive. Stop ID: 2000235. Exit the bus and walk north on Colesville Road towards North Noyes Drive. Turn left onto North Noyes Drive, and after 0.2 miles, turn left onto Fairview Road. The park will be on the right side of the street.
    • Red Line Metro to Silver Spring station: Exit the metro station onto Wayne Avenue. Turn right onto Colesville Road, and walk for 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Spring Street, and the park will be on the right side of the street.
    • Paid parking is available at the Spring Cameron Garage.
