The Ninth Annual Harvest Moon Festival, which is a free, multicultural event of arts, entertainment and exhibitors, will be held on Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring from 1-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25. The celebration will have music and activities for all ages.
Veterans Plaza is located at One Veterans Place, adjacent to the Silver Spring Civic Building. The activities schedule for the festival will include:
- 1 p.m. Tai Yim Kung Fu Lion Dance
- 2 p.m. Community Drum Circle with Katy Gaughan and Drumming for Wellness
- 3 p.m. Caribbean Steel Drum Music with the Josanne Francis Trio
- 5 p.m. Mariachi Los Amigos
Starting at 1 p.m., there will be Art and STEAM activities for those 7-and-over. All materials will be provided. The festival is presented by Silver Spring Town Center, Inc.
