Week 6 MoCoShow High School Football Top 10

1. Quince Orchard 6-0 (LW 1): The Cougars shutout streak was ended by a game Richard Montgomery squad, but QO still dominated 56-7.  QB Savan Briggs went 6 out of 7 for 137 yds and 2 TDs. Up next, Homecoming vs Gaithersburg.

2. Blair 6-0 (LW 2): The Blazers are still hot, beating Rockville 27-13. RB Kam Reynolds ran for 96  yds and 2 TDs. They will travel to Sherwood next. 

3.  Damascus  5-1 (LW 3): The Swarmin’ Hornets had no issues dispatching Clarksburg 54-12.  As a team Damascus ran for 280 yards and 4 TDs.  Next up, a trip to Rockville.   

4. Seneca Valley 5-1  (LW 4): The Screamin’ Eagles rebounded after last week’s loss to beat Wootton 38-0.  The Kings Trophy is on the line next as Seneca Valley visits the Black Hole in the MoCoShow Game of the Week.  

5. Paint Branch  4-2  (LW 5): The Panthers beat a scrappy Blake team 17-6.  RB Roman Spikes ran for 104 yards on 18 attempts in the win. Northwood will travel to Burtonsville next. .

6. Walter Johnson 5-1  (LW 7): The Wildcats clawed their way to a last second victory over BCC, 20-14. QB Charlie Blessing threw for 167 yards and had 3 total TDs.  WJ will host Richard Montgomery on Friday night. 

7. Northwest 2-4  (LW 8): The Jaguars got back into the win column blanking Sherwood 24-0. As a team Northwest rushed for 138 yards and 4 TDs.  HUGE game is on tap as rival Seneca Valley flies into the Black Hole in the MoCoShow Game of the Week  

8. Poolesville 6-0 (LW 9): The Falcons continued their undefeated streak defeating Catoctin 28-13. Maryland’s leading rusher, Evan Taylor, rumbled for a staggering 345 yards and 2 TDs! Poolesville will host Churchill in a big test Friday night.   

9. Sherwood 4-2 (LW 6): The Warriors fell to Northwest 24-0. QB Amari Allen threw for 65 yards in the loss. No rest for the weary as undefeated Blair travels to Olney next.  

10.   Blake 3-3 (LW 10): The Bengals lost a tough game to Paint Branch 17-6. QB Joey Faunteroy threw for 64 yards in the loss. Blake will host Wheaton next.
