The MoCoShow MCPS High School Football Top 10 – Week 7

1. Quince Orchard 7-0 (LW 1): The Cougars are now the lone undefeated team in the county with their victory over Gaithersburg 48-8.  As a team QO rushed for 212 yards and 4 TDs. Up next, the biggest rivalry in the DMV vs a resurgent Northwest, in the MoCoShow Game of the Week.

2. Damascus 6-1 (LW 3): The Swarmin’ Hornets beatdown Rockville 49-6.  A trip to Silver Spring to take on Springbrook is next.  

3. Walter Johnson 6-1  (LW 6): The Wildcats continue to claw their way up the rankings with a win over Richard Montgomery 36-20. RB Dylan Byrd ran for 170 yards and 2 TDs in the win.  A big game at Seneca Valley is on tap.     

4. Paint Branch 5-2  (LW 5): The Panthers mollywhopped Northwood 70-0! RB Marquez Weedon rushed for 91 yards and 2 TDs.  A huge matchup at home vs Sherwood is next.   

5. Northwest 3-4**  (LW 7): The Jaguars once again are the Kings of Germantown with a 29-26 instant classic win over Seneca Valley.  A trip to the Cougardome vs rival Quince Orchard this Friday night. 

6. Seneca Valley 5-2  (LW 4): The Screamin’ Eagles lost a heartbreaker to Northwest 29-26.  A big game vs Walter Johnson is next.  

7.Sherwood  5-2 (LW 9): The Warriors handed Blair their 1st loss of the season 28-22.  RB Van Mahoney ran for 122 yards and 1 TD.  Another big game in Burtonsville vs Paint Branch up next.   

8. Blair 6-1 (LW 2): The Blazers finally cooled off dropping their 1st game of the season to Sherwood 28-22. QB Kendell Anderson had 201 yards of total offense and 2 TDs in the loss.  Blair will host Wheaton this Friday.    

9. Blake 4-3 (LW 10): The Bengals defeated Wheaton 48-6.  QB Joey Faunteroy threw for 202 yards and 4TDs in the victory.  Blake will travel to Einstein next.   

10.   Churchill  5-2 (LW NR): The Bulldogs re enter the top 10 with a win over previously undefeated Poolesville 19-0. As a team Churchill ran for 200 yards. A trip to Rockville to take on Richard Montgomery is next.
