Holiday Schedule for Veterans Day on Friday, Nov. 11

The Montgomery County Government, and programs that impact County residents, will observe schedule and program changes for the observance of Veterans Day on Friday, Nov. 11.

  • County offices—Closed.
  • State offices and courts—Closed.
  • State Motor Vehicle Administration offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations—Closed.
  • Libraries—Closed.
  • Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS)—All stores will be open regular hours.
  • County-operated COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Clinics—Closed.
  • Department of Permitting Services—All offices, including customer service lobby, are closed.
  • Ride On, Ride On extRa, and Ride On Flex—Will operate on a “Holiday” schedule. All schedules can be viewed at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/DOT-Transit/SpecialHoliday.html
  • Flash—Will operate on a Holiday schedule (Orange Line only).
  • MARC Train and Commuter Bus—Will operate on its “R” schedule on all three lines.
  • TRiPS Silver Spring Commuter Store—Open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store—Closed.
  • Metrorail—Will operate on its Saturday Holiday schedule, with trains operating from 5 a.m.-1 a.m.
  • Metrobus and Metro Access—Will operate on a Saturday Supplemental schedule.
  • Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters—Free.
  • County-provided trash and recycling collections will not be made on Friday, Nov. 11. Those collections will be made on Saturday, Nov. 12.
  • Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling Center—Closed.
  • Aquatic Centers—Will operate on normal schedules.
  • Community Recreation and Senior Centers—Closed. After-school programs at some community recreation centers will remain open. Contact local centers for additional information.
