MCPS Announces Systemwide Closure on Friday, December 23 (Schools Were Previously Closed For Students)

MCPS announced a systemwide closure for Friday, December 23, in alignment with Governor Hogan’s action to close state government agencies and offices. Schools were previously scheduled to be closed on Friday, 12/23, but now the systemwide closure includes schools and offices being closed for staff. Full message from MCPS below:

“Dear MCPS Staff, Families, and Community Members:

In alignment with the Governor’s action to close the state government on Friday, Montgomery County Public Schools will have a systemwide closure on Friday Dec. 23. All schools and offices will now be closed for staff, in addition to the scheduled closure for schools. Buildings will be open to accommodate child care programs.”
