Wheaton Apartment Building Sells for $64 Million

Solaire Wheaton, located at 10914 Georgia Ave., was completed by Washington Property Company (WPC) in April 2014. According to Biz Journals, it has been sold to Chicago’s 29th Street Capital for $64 million (according to records filed with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation).

The property has been rebranded to “Maven at Wheaton.”
The LEED certified, multi-family residential building is a 6-story wood structure with 232 units and 2 levels of underground parking. The report states that “the new owner plans to make some upgrades to the interior and exterior amenity spaces and units in the six-story building, which has a fitness center, swimming pool, sundeck and courtyard patio.”  Per WPC, “the building is located at the heavily-trafficked corner of Georgia Avenue and Veirs Mill Road, a short walk to the Wheaton Metro Station and adjacent to Westfield’s Wheaton Mall.”
