Police Investigating Shed Burglaries; Photos of Suspect Released

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are investigating two shed burglaries that occurred on Sunday, March 12, 2023, in the 12300 block of Middle Rd in Wheaton. Detectives have released photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him. At approximately 8:52 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of a theft that occurred earlier. The investigation by detectives determined that the adult male victim woke up and found his shed door open. He checked his security cameras and observed the suspect walk through his backyard with a wheelbarrow, enter his shed and put multiple tools in the wheelbarrow, before leaving the scene.

On the same date at approximately 9:44 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the same block for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier. The investigation by detectives determined that the adult male victim was reviewing his security cameras, from the night before, when he observed the suspect enter his shed and leave with multiple stolen tools.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers can remain anonymous.
