City of Rockville Hosts Skate Jam Event on Saturday, April 15

The City of Rockville is jostling its annual Skate Jam event at the new Rockville Skate Park (355 Martins Lane) on Saturday, April 15 from 9am until 5pm. “Bring your family and friends for a day filled with fun activities, including morning yoga, skating competitions, skate demos, building your own skateboard activity ($$), food ($), and so much more.” This event is free, but pre-registration is recommended for the Competition. Food and participation in activities will have a fee. Schedule of Activities:

9 a.m. – 10 a.m.: Yoga
10 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Skate Competition Check-in and Practice
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Skate Competition
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Skate Demo
2 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Skate Competition Continues

Skating Competition: Sign up for our Free skate competition! The competition consists of 3 heats with skaters who will compete to see who can have the best run! The competition is free to enter, and participants will be grouped by skill level. Free. Sign-up Here

Build your own Skateboard: Join the City of Rockville and Bethesda Boards to build and customize your skateboard! Participants will get to design, decorate, paint, and adjust their own personal skateboards. Skateboards will be ready to take home after the event with a new skate tool to keep. Register Here
