The City of Takoma Park will be holding its Independence Day celebration starting with a parade at 10am on Tuesday, July 4th followed by an evening celebration in the form of an evening street party from 6pm to 9pm. Additional information, per the City of Takoma Park below:
The New Parade Route is as follows:
- The main roads, which are part of the parade route, will be blocked off at 9:00 AM.
- The Parade begins at 10: 00 am and last for two hours

The New Parade Route is as follows:
- Parade begins at the intersection of Carroll and Ethan Allen Aves
- Parade turns right off Carroll Ave onto Willow Ave
- Parade turns left off Willow Ave onto Tulip Ave
- Parade turns right off Tulip Ave onto Maple Ave
- Parade continues down Maple Ave until it terminates at the intersection with Ritchie Ave
