Suspects Armed With Axe Attempt to Break Into Olney Gas Station Twice

Per Montgomery County Police: Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who attempted to break into the Exxon gas station on two separate occasions, in the 18000 block of Georgia Ave. in Olney (photos below).

On Sunday, July 2, 2023, at approximately 2:36 a.m., the two suspects were at the gas station, when one of them threw a rock at the front window in an attempt to get in the gas station. The suspects were not able to get in the store and did not obtain any property.

On Friday, July 7, 2023, at approximately 1:49 a.m., the same two suspects returned to the Exxon with tools. The first suspect walked up to front door and used an axe in an attempt to open the door. Again, the suspects were not able to gain entry and did not obtain any property.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section obtained surveillance photos of the suspects and have described them as two white males, between the ages of 15 and 21-years-old, wearing all black clothing and faces covered with a t-shirt.

Detectives are asking for anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspects involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Callers may remain anonymous.
