Two Topgolf Germantown Employees Shot Shortly After Midnight

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday (12:06am), Montgomery County Police responded to a report of a shooting at Top Golf in Germantown (20101 Century Blvd). Police say, “On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at approximately 12:06 a.m., MCP officers responded to Top Golf in the 20100 block of Century Blvd. in Germantown for the report of a shooting.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that an unknow suspect fired his firearm for reasons that are still under investigation, and two Top Golf employees (adult males) were shot. One was shot in the leg and the other one in the torso area. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect left the scene in an unknown vehicle.”

Our safety reporter, Cordell Pugh, tweeted the following at 12:15am, “GERMANTOWN TOPGOLF SHOOTING: ~12AM Midnight Tuesday, Germantown Topgolf off of Century Blvd just West of I-270. (Montgomery County, MD). Two victims shot, at least one is an employee; MoCo Police 5D Officers aided victims prior to 🚑 arrival.”  At 12:45am, he provided the following update, “@MCFRS Paramedics transporting two victims from the Germantown Topgolf to an area Trauma Center. Large response on scene at the Germantown Topgolf.
