Week 3: The MoCoShow High School Football Top 10 (MCPS)

1. (LW 1) Quince Orchard 3-0: The Cougars needed a last second comeback to defeat Stone Bridge, VA 29-22 in a highly entertaining game. Quarterback Nino Marzullo had 187 total yards and 2 touchdowns in the victory. Up next a road trip to Potomac to take on Churchill in the MoCoShow Game of the Week!

2. (LW 2) Northwest 3-0: The Jaguars defeated Richard Montgomery 52-29. As a team, Northwest ran for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns. This Friday, the Jags travel down the road to take on Germantown rival Seneca Valley in the Battle for the King’s Trophy.

3.  (LW 3) Churchill 3-0: The Bulldogs shutout rival Wootton 30-0. Linebacker Diezel Duckett had 3 interceptions on the day. Up next, Churchill hosts Quince Orchard MoCoShow Game of the Week!

4. (LW 4) Sherwood 3-0: The Warriors shutout rival Magruder 44-0.  Quarterback Brendan Heyer passed for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sherwood hosts rival Blake this Friday.

5. (LW 5) Damascus 2-1: The Swarmin’ Hornets defeated Rockville 27-6. Damascus will travel to Poolesville next.

6. (LW 6) Walter Johnson 3-0: The Wildcats defeated Whitman 41-7. Walter Johnson will travel to Burtonsville to take on Paint Branch in a stellar matchup on Friday.

7. (LW 7) Paint Branch 2-1: The Panthers beat Springbrook 49-0. Quarterback Christopher Kriz passed for 191 yards and 4 touchdowns. Paint Branch will host Walter Johnson next.

8. (LW 8) Blake 3-0: The Bengals defeated Einstein 34-19. Running Back Jeremiah Seaton rushed for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns. Blake travels to Olney to take on rival Sherwood this Friday.

9. (LW 9) Seneca Valley 2-1: The Screaming Eagles defeated Clarksburg 48-0. The Seneca defense forced 5 total turnovers and scored 2 touchdowns in the win. SV hosts rival Northwest on Friday for the King’s Trophy.

10. (LW 10) Gaithersburg 2-1: The Trojans shutout Watkins Mill 36-0. Running Back Gideon Ituka ran for 83 yards and 3 touchdowns in the victory. Gaithersburg will host Wootton next.
