MoCoShow High School Football Top 10 – Week 4 (2023)

1. (LW 1) Quince Orchard 4-0: The Cougars earned their third shutout of the season, beating Churchill 35-0.  Quarterback Nino Marzullo passed for 257 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. Quince Orchard will travel to Silver Spring to take on Blair this Friday.

2. Northwest (LW 2) 4-0: The Jaguars retained possession of the King’s Trophy defeating Seneca Valley 30-8. As a team the Jags rushed for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns. Northwest will host BCC next.

3. (LW 5) Damascus 3-1: The Swarmin’ Hornets defeated Poolesville 40-6. Damascus will host Magruder on Friday night.

4. (LW 6) Walter Johnson 4-0: The Wildcats had a statement win over Paint Branch 22-7. Quarterback Charlie Blessing ran for 168 yds and 2 Touchdowns. Walter Johnson will travel to Wootton next.

5. (LW 8) Blake 4-0: The Bengals earned their 2nd win over Sherwood in school history 31-28 in a 2 overtime classic. Running Back Jerimiah Seaton ran for 132 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Blake will travel to Springbrook on Friday.

6.  (LW 3) Churchill 3-1: The Bulldogs fell to Quince Orchard 35-0. Churchill will travel to Frederick County to take on Urbana next.

7. (LW 4) Sherwood 3-1: The Warriors lost a heartbreaker to Blake 31-28 in overtime.  Quarterback Brendan Heyer passed for 142 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss. Sherwood travels to Gaithersburg on Friday,

8. (LW 7) Paint Branch 2-2: The Panthers lost a tough game to Walter Johnson 22-7. Quarterback Christopher Kriz had 94 All-purpose yards and 1 Touchdown in the loss. Paint Branch will travel to Wheaton next.

9. (LW 10) Gaithersburg 3-1: The Trojans defeated Wootton 27-7.  Gaithersburg will host Sherwood next.

10. (LW 9) Seneca Valley 2-2: The Screaming Eagles fell to Northwest in the battle for the King’s Trophy 30-8.  Seneca Valley will host Richard Montgomery this Friday.
