Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a vehicle fire on the eastbound lanes of the ICC (MD-200) between Layhill Rd and New Hampshire Ave at approximately 4:45 on Tuesday afternoon (video below). Shortly before that, they also responded to a collision involving two vehicles on the opposite side of the ICC (westbound).
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer the vehicle fire has caused for some lanes to be blocked, but appears to be extinguished. Police and MCFRS are on the scene of the crash on the other side.
