Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) was dispatched to 14203 Woolen Oak Ct in Silver Spring shortly before 1pm Wednesday afternoon for an “uncontained hazmat.”

According to Assistant MCFRS Chief David Pazos, “Units arrived to find a ruptured 2” gas line with exposure to a 3-story apartment building. Washington Gas arrived and repaired the rupture while MCFRS evacuated the apartments.

MCFRS requested a Ride On bus to stage the 20+residents out of the cold and implemented their Hygiene Support Tent for bathroom use.
