Victim Robbed and Assaulted at Outdoor ATM Tuesday Night

On December 12, at approximately 11:08 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 1100 block of University Blvd for an armed robbery. The victim was robbed at gunpoint at the Capital One Bank outdoor ATM.

According to police, “While being robbed by one suspect, a second suspect rummaged through the victim’s vehicle.  The suspects fled southbound on New Hampshire Avenue towards the District of Columbia in a black Lexus SUV with unknown Virginia registration.

The suspects are described as (1) black male, last seen wearing a black ski mask, green winter jacket with fur around the hood and armed with a silver handgun; (2) black male, last seen wearing a black ski mask, black winter jacket with fur around the hood.

The victim was not seriously physically injured. Lookout information was provided to all surrounding jurisdictions.  This investigation is ongoing. Investigators are asking that anyone with information about this incident, or knows the identities of the suspects, please contact the Takoma Park Police Department at 301-270-1100 and refer to case #230071400. This incident occurred in Ward 6.
