Very light snow is possible in Damascus, a small part of Howard County, and much of Carroll County on Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Though it’s coming on the back end of a rain storm like last time, this isn’t expected to have the “boom” possibility that last week’s storm did. A dusting is possible for the areas mentioned above. There are winter weather advisories and warnings for Western Maryland and parts of West Virginia, but that won’t come close to the metro area.
Montgomery County has issued a Hypothermia Alert for extreme cold beginning 7 pm Mon, 12/18 through Tues, 12/19. Expect the wind chill to be below 32 degrees. Wear layers if outside, take extra precautions if you spend significant time outdoors.
