“Boozy” Taco Bell Moves Closer Towards Opening First Maryland Location

Back in June, we let you know that “boozy” Taco Bell (Taco Bell Cantina) was coming to Montgomery County. Construction began earlier this year at the future home of Taco Bell Cantina at 8662 Colesville Road and now it’s taking another step closer to opening.

Taco Bell Cantina has its hearing with Montgomery County’s Alcoholic Beverage Services (ABS) on Thursday, January 4th at 10am. Signage has also been erected at the upcoming restaurant. It will be located next to the Fillmore Silver Spring and across the street from Ellsworth Place in the space that was most recently home to Pollo Campero until it closed in late 2021.

Taco Bell Cantina hours vary and are sometimes open late, generally between 7 am and 2 am (individual Taco Bell Cantina location hours vary). It’s known for its fast-paced environment, tech-forward innovations like kiosks and digital menu boards, and a variety of alcoholic beverages to go along with traditional Taco Bell fare.

The Taco Bell Cantina alcoholic drink menu “features an assortment of beers, wines, sangria and Twisted Freezes, including your favorite fermented alcohol”, but the exact drink menu varies by location. An opening timeframe is not yet available, but with construction progressing we expect an opening in the first half of 2024.
