Following a home loss to the San Francisco 49ers and a win by the Arizona Cardinals over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Commanders now hold the #2 pick in the NFL Draft.
According to Tankathon.com, the Commanders leapfrogged the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals at of 4pm on Sunday, 12/31. Even though the Commanders have identical records to the Cardinals and Patriots and have beaten both this season, NFL Draft order is determined by Strength of Schedule (SOS) as the first tie-breaker.
If Washington loses its last game against the Dallas Cowboys, the chances of remaining in the #2 spot remain very high. The Bears (via the Panthers) have clinched the #1 pick.
