
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire on the 800 block of Hobbs Rd, off of New Hampshire Ave., in Colesville around noon on Friday.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, approximately 65 firefighters responded to the fire at the single family home. The fire appears to have started in the chimney and spread to the attic. As of 1:45pm, the fire was under control and there were no injuries. The family, however, has been displaced from the home.
