The advisory is in effect on Saturday from 10am until 2pm in C/SE Montgomery and Howard County. Per the NWS:

“Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of a coating up to an inch, and light glaze of ice accumulation expected. Plan on slippery road conditions. Precipitation is expected to begin as snow and sleet between 10 and 11 AM. Precipitation will change to freezing rain around noon, then rain after 2 PM. Precipitation is expected to end during the early evening.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.”
