The Washington Commanders have hired San Francisco Assistant General Manager, Adam Peters, as the team’s new General Manager, according to Adam Schefter.

In 2003, Peters entered the New England Patriots’ scouting department as an assistant, contributing to Super Bowl victories in 2003 and 2004, and an appearance in 2007.  After a year in pro scouting in 2005, he served as an area scout for three years. Following Josh McDaniels to the Denver Broncos in 2009, Peters was later promoted to national scout in 2011.

In the mid-2010s, Peters played a key role in overseeing Denver’s college scouting department. His journey continued in 2017 when he joined the 49ers under GM John Lynch, initially as the vice president of player personnel and later as assistant GM. Widely recognized as a top player evaluator in the NFL, Peters has contributed to staffs that clinched six conference championships and three Super Bowls.
