Bar Rescue stars Jon Taffer, a long-time food and beverage industry consultant specializing in nightclubs, bars and pubs. Taffer offers his professional expertise, renovations and equipment to desperately failing bars in an effort to save them from closing. The show has been running for 8 seasons and we have heard season 9 will include local chef Ashish Alfred as the star of some of its episodes.
Chef Alfred is known for combining his classical training from the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan and his Indian-American roots at his restaurants Duck Duck Goose, Anchor Bar, Good Ducking Burger and Osteria Pirata. He was born and raised in Montgomery County (Derwood), where he attended Magruder High School.
We reached out to Alfred’s camp for comment, but have not received a response. Our sources have told us that he has already filmed episodes and is likely splitting the season, the show’s ninth, with Taffer. Season 9 of Bar Rescue is set to make it to Paramount + later this year.
