Underground Pizza Company at 8235 Georgia Ave in Silver Spring is now serving beer and wine.
The restaurant is currently offering 25% off all beer & wine glasses, and 50% off bottles of wine from now through the end of January.
Owner Evan Weinstein, a concert promoter and founder of Steez Promo, started Underground Pizza Company in 2020 after concert venues in the area closed their doors due to the pandemic. Weinstein began selling Detroit-style pizzas at local “pop-up” events that were marketed through social media and gained a loyal following.
Underground Pizza Company opened its first brick & mortar location inside of Power Plant Live! in Baltimore in December 2020, followed by Silver Spring in February 2022, and Towson in May 2022. We’re told Underground Pizza will also be opening a “ghost kitchen” in Washington, DC later this year.
In addition to pizza, Underground Pizza serves wings, salads, “pepperoni infused” mac & cheese balls, and mozzarella sticks. The restauant also recently added gluten-free pizza dough to its menu.
