Four Suspects in Custody After Argument Leads to Two People Shooting at Each Other

At approximately 10:29 pm on Thursday night, 3rd District officers were in the area of Fenwick Ln. and First Ave. in Silver Spring when they observed an argument between two individuals. The argument escalated and the two began shooting at each other.

According to police, “there are four suspects in custody. Unknown ages and genders at this time. This is a non-contact shooting. No victims have been reported. This is an active and ongoing investigation.” There is no word at this time on why the additional two suspects are in custody.

Public safety reporter Cordell Pugh reported the following on Thursday night, “DOWNTOWN SILVER SPRING SHOTS FIRED WITH GUN RECOVERED: ~10:25PM Thursday, shots fired near Fenwick Lane & 1st Avenue. 3rd District Officers observed several suspects fleeing, and now have at least 2 suspects in custody & at least 1 firearm recovered after a foot pursuit.
