Update from the MCDOT Storm Operation Center (SOC):
“Icy patches are possible on residential roadways due to temperatures in the low 20s and blowing snow. MCDOT crews continue to work on ice patches with the goal make residential neighborhoods passable, not necessarily to clear them to the bare pavement.”
This is likely in response to many residents who have noted that streets in their neighborhoods still have snow on the ground. Montgomery County government has a website that can answer the question of “Who plows my street?”, shows you snow removal status, and allows you to submit a snow-related service request to the county or state. Visit the Montgomery County Winter Information Portal for additional information.
