Walgreens, located at 11215 New Hampshire Ave. Suite A in the White Oak Shopping Center, will be closing the store next month, according to a representative from the location.
According to CNN, Walgreens operates almost 9,000 stores in the United States and expects to close the 150 US locations by the end of its fiscal year, August 31, 2024. The locations that were due to close were not specified.
Founded over a century ago in 1901, there is a Walgreens within 5 miles of 78% of Americans. In addition to retail and pharmaceutical products, the company also invented the world’s first chocolate malted milkshake. An exact closing date was not provided by the store, but a representative told us “next month.”
