Officers from the 3rd District of the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) responded to the area of Ramsey Avenue and Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring for the report of a shooting. The call was received at 11:50 p.m.
According to police, officers are investigating a shooting in the area Colesville Road and Second Avenue. Two victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and there are no suspects in custody at this time.
The scene was announced as being secured at 2:17am by MCPD. According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, an officer aided one of the victims with a tourniquet prior to the arrival of EMS.
