Police Investigating “Peeping Tom” Incidents

The Takoma Park Police Department is actively investigating two incidents related to a “peeping tom” that was reported on January 26, 2024, at approximately 10:00 pm. In both cases, residents in the vicinity of Flower Avenue brought attention to suspicious activities, prompting a response from law enforcement.

Incident in the 7400 block of Flower Avenue:  On the evening of January 26th, a resident in the 7400 block of Flower Avenue reported a male subject who was observed looking into a female resident’s bedroom window.

Incident in the 7500 block of Flower Avenue:  Concurrently, in the 7500 block of Flower Avenue, another resident reported discovering a ladder leaning against their residence.

The suspect in the first incident is described as a white Hispanic male, dressed in dark clothing and possibly wearing a black shirt. The police are actively pursuing all leads to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for these actions.

In addition to these incidents, there is an ongoing investigation into a report of a suspicious male in a car who approached a female in the area of Flower Avenue and Erie Avenue on Monday, January 29 at approximately 1:50 pm. The male was described to be of Middle Eastern descent driving a black Ford Mustang with tinted windows. The Takoma Park Police are urging residents to report any unusual activities promptly.

Note – The Takoma Park Police Department has become aware of homemade flyers posted regarding these incidents. The flyers refer to possible human trafficking being involved in the incidents. At this point in our investigation into the incidents, there is no indication that any of the incidents are related to human trafficking.
