Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a kitchen fire at Olney Grille (3464 Olney-Laytonsville Rd.) in Olney on Tuesday afternoon.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the fire was in the kitchen and in the wall behind the kitchen including the ductwork. As of 12:40pm, the fire appeared to be extinguished and crews were checking for any possible extension.
There was some light smoke in the office buildings that are located on the second floor. All employees and patrons were evacuated and there were no injuries. The health inspector has been requested.
