Renee Boissiere and Maeve Salzman are best friends who have been inseparable for years, according to their coach Travis Miles. Both young ladies play basketball for Einstein High School and this year they’ve both reached 1,000 career points. More on both Renee and Maeve below:

Renee Boissiere (#1) is the team’s starting point guard who Coach Rice describes as “the most unselfish basketball player on the court.” He tells that reaching the 1,000 point mark is special for such an unselfish player. “She is a very bright lady with a big sense of humor on her that can make anyone laugh at any moment. She is a leader that is always trying to talk to her teammates to make them better.”
Maeve Salzman (#2) is a starting forward who also plays center at times. Rice tells us, “She is willing to sacrifice for the team in all aspects. She is all about winning and will do what it takes for the victory.” Maeve is a sharp-shooter from three-point range, which helped her reach the 1,000 point mark. She has made nearly 200 three-pointers in her career. “Though she all about winning she also has a great sense of humor and wants to laugh and make others laugh when possible.”
From Coach Rice: “They’ve continued to push each while playing in high school and hold each other accountable. It’s great to see best friends achieve goals together. These two ladies have been the rock of this basketball team. From their play on time court to their goofiness off the court, they are special and there will not be another tandem like these two again.”
