On February 13, at approximately 9:42 am, Takoma Park Police responded to a report of a theft that occurred from a vehicle on the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Sunoco gas station) in Takoma Park.

According to tips previously provided by police, it’s important to lock your car while pumping gas or going inside of the gas station convenience store to help avoid situations like these. In this instance, the two male suspects came from a blue BMW with DC tags.

According to police, “While the victim was inside the establishment, two unknown male suspects pulled up beside the vehicle; one suspect exited the passenger side of a late model blue BMW with DC tags, stole property from inside the victim’s vehicle, and re-entered the BMW, which fled south on New Hampshire Avenue toward the District of Columbia.

Investigation continues under case #240007124.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301-270-1100.”
