Where a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a 2-alarm fire on the 1200 block of Treasure Oak Ct. off of Wootton Parkway at approximately 2pm on Sunday afternoon in Rockville.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, units arrived at the middle-of-the-row townhouse to find heavy fire conditions with the status of the occupants unknown. After approximately an hour, at 3pm, Piringer shared that the bulk of the fire was knocked down with no injuries reported.
Seven people (two adults and five kids) have been displaced by the fire that likely started in the garage. it was contained to the garage and the first floor of the home and did not extend to any other home. There was significant structural damage as well as damage to several vehicles. The Red Cross is assisting with the displaced family. Approximately 75 firefighters were on the scene.
