Two Arrested for Attempted Strong-Arm Robbery and Auto Theft on Sunday Afternoon

Rockville Police arrested two individuals involved in an attempted strong-arm robbery and auto theft on Sunday, February 19.

Per the news release: Detectives with the Rockville City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit have charged Nelvin Reyes-Nieto, 18, and a juvenile, both of Rockville, in connection with an attempted strong-arm robbery and auto theft early this afternoon.

The incident began shortly after 11:30 a.m. when Rockville City Police officers responded to a call for a robbery near the intersection of Waddington Lane and Waddington Ct. Officers determined that two suspects had attempted to rob the victim of a cell phone and subsequently left the area in a Blue, Kia passenger car. A lookout was given for the vehicle and a short while later, other Rockville City Police officers located the vehicle traveling on E.
