Arepateca, a Venezuelan restaurant by the founders of Panateca DC, is coming soon to the Farmland Commercial Kitchen at 11910 Parklawn Dr.

The restaurant will feature arepas, likely for carry out or delivery since it will be operating out of a commercial kitchen (per @pike.and.rozay). Arepas are round corn patties that are grilled and frequently eaten in Colombia and Venezuela in the same way people in the U.S. eat bread with a meal. Arepas are often served with cheese, butter, avocado, and can also be cut open and filled with a variety of savory ingredients.

Per @Arepateca: “Your new culinary escape in the DMV area, where tradition meets innovation on a delicious journey. Imagine biting into the perfect fusion of flavors – where Venezuela’s iconic arepas are reimagined with a twist of international zest.

From the smoky allure of our signature smoked brisket and aged cheddar cheese arepa, drizzled with vibrant Zhug sauce, to the tender embrace of smoked pulled pork, melted cheese, tangy pickled red onions, and the sweet heat of pineapple habanero sauce.

But that’s not all – savor the heart of Venezuela with our beloved Reina arepa, a creamy mix of avocado chicken salad, and indulge in our twist on the classic Domino arepa, bursting with black beans, white Caribbean cheese, and fried sweet plantains.

Our arepas are not just meals; they’re a gluten-free gateway to any time of the day, wrapped in an urban vibe that’s as fresh, cool, and stylish as it is welcoming.

Located at Pike and Rose, Maryland, Arepateca is here to revolutionize your mealtime with pick-up and delivery options that bring our kitchen to your doorstep. Stay tuned and get ready to embark on a flavorful adventure like no other. Arepateca is not just a meal; it’s an experience waiting to unfold. Launch day is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our family.

Follow us, join the journey, and let’s make every bite a celebration!”
