On Sunday afternoon, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a kitchen fire at the Tasty 68 restaurant, located at 26131 Ridge Rd. in Damascus. In an update today, provided by Assistant Chief David Pazos, several businesses are unable to reoccupy the building.
“MCFRS dispatched for building fire and extinguished a kitchen fire at the Tasty 68 restaurant with extension to the roof. No injuries. Several business unable to reoccupy.” Pazos wrote on Monday morning.
From Sunday, “Units were dispatched at approximately 12:30pm on Sunday for a building fire. Firefighters reported a fire in a commercial kitchen (fire in duct with extension to roof membrane of 26131/29 Ridge Rd). There were no injuries reported. The building and health inspector have been notified.”
